I am back!!! It has been a long time since I posted... but I am ready to get back in action. Now, I am actually taking a photography class and have learned a little more of how to play with the camera. It is way fun. I am still learning, but I love it!

After lots of changes in her face, here we have her! I got to paint that cute face. I tried to make the face texture simple enough so that it grabs the attention to her eye highlights. Faces are hard, cause it does involve putting alot of details that can barely be seen... that way it makes it look more natural. If you try putting things and wanting them all to be seen then it makes a terrible texture (believe me... i know) p.s. I love subsurface scattering.. it makes me happy!
Now, all that is left to do is the hair. Wish me luck!

Sooo, this was a fun little project that Dan and I worked on, at work. I modeled and textured the leaves and flowers and Dan created this wicked cool script that puts them all together to create a pea plant. Then I would just tweak it with some controls that he put and vuala! pretty fun! --- By the way, this is a close up, we are never going to see it this big in the lab. That is why the textures are not very detailed.

I've been working on a texture for a lantern, but I still can't finish it. I haven't posted much for a while so I figure I should put something on my blog.Well, the glass shader isn't done, its just a fast throw... Actually, the only thing finished is the base ...but hey, its something. :) Hopefully I will post the final version next weekend. I've been having a hard time with this texture, so any feedback is very much appreciated. Maybe i should make it red ;).

I want to give a special thanks to Lindsey Briggs. She is the photographer that took the picture of this flower. Well, here is my Renderman assignment. I composed a CG butterfly into this photo. I had a hard time with the shadows, and I still can't point what is exactly wrong with it, so I accept suggestion on it. :)
